ROOF AIR VENTILATION

What is roof air ventilation? It is just that ventilation of the air that is trapped in the roofspace or cavity – the air between the roof covering and the ceiling.

This air can be very toxic and putrid due to the fact of rising moisture, the moisture vapour that is trapped in the heated air that rises to the roofspace from the home. This is further exacerbated by kitchen and bathroom fans that dump into the roofspace.

Furthermore, unventilated spaces such as roofspaces experience the breaking down of building materials, with fiberglass fibres filling this air. Also fiberglass insulation can become saturated with moisture due to condensation problems, a roofspace can experience, these situations.

With SBS (Sick Building Syndrome) being a follow on problem for unventilated enclosed spaces as well as moisture laden insulation being the perfect breeding ground for termites and other infestations.

SO YOU SEE THE NEED FOR ROOF AIR VENTILATION IS A NECESSITY NOT AN OPTION.
